Why America is heading for civil war, and why I will not fight

The evidence of the fact is irrefutable: America is inching closer than ever to civil war, arming themselves now more rapidly than ever before. There can only be one possible outcome of this continued activity.
President Obama and many other politicians are hoping to gradually disarm Americans through legislative and executive means. In my opinion this has no chance of working at all. Instead, formerly law-abiding Americans will become criminals as they refuse to obey by the millions. Anger and resentment over these demands by government is creating a very dangerous atmosphere.

Whatever the “plans” are for Americans, it won’t work unless they can somehow convince millions of gun owners that guns are unnecessary, thus voluntarily giving them up.

This is incredibly unlikely to happen. We do not trust our government and with very good reason.

What is far more likely to happen, like every other nation that has turned to despotism, is conflict. Civil war. There are now multitudes calling for conflict. They know not what they do. Most have absolutely no idea what war is like. Those that do have the sense to remain calm. Those that don’t will probably start one anyway — or respond with violence to whatever the government starts.
The “patriot” community is on the cusp of this anger and growing conflict. They feel threatened by an increasingly belligerent government. They’re right of course, but they’re dead wrong about their “vision” for America. They won’t come out on top in a civil war at all, nobody will, and their vision is severely distorting reality.
None of this will stop a war. It only means that once the shooting starts, there will be little real unity among Americans. It will be a thousand Serbias all over the nation. Millions slaughtered.

Many of us do feel threatened, but we’re also no more comfortable with the racist, xenophobic “vision” steeped in religious superstition being offered by the idiotic “patriot” community. This would be a return to the Dark Ages of intolerance, injustice and ignorance that killed millions. It can certainly happen here again.
Battle lines between Americans and government are being drawn right now. On one side, we have gun owners, not all who identify as “patriots”. This is good news, because clearer heads are desperately needed. Conservatives, Christians and “patriots” view the coming battle as a “cleansing” of America, which will include pretty much anything and everything they don’t like if they have their way (they won’t).

Despite what the rest of America thinks or wants, their vision is to repeal all laws, legislation and executive orders that do not fit within their worldview. In many ways, I’m all for that, but what I am not for is their xenophobic, religious hatred and intolerance and a return to the past.
The past is gone. Forever. It is stupid and pointless to constantly harp on and on about the past. We’re supposed to learn from our collective past, not embrace it. Conservative America wants to abolish abortion, the EPA, big government and the separation of church and state. They want their twisted version of God back in the schools and science and reason tossed out.

This is idiocy. It didn’t work then, and it won’t work now. They want their fellow Americans to join with them in the fight to come.
I have no interest whatsoever in “fighting for America” or “Americans” who want this type of “restoration”. The America I once knew is long dead, never to return. It will never, ever come back. It is factually impossible now.
Today’s America is inhabited by idiot zombies, including the “patriots”, welfare babies, lazy rednecks, and millions of overfed slugs on the government dole. Most lack common sense, education and a essential knowledge of history.

Civil wars have been fought before, but the victors are rarely those who actually fight them. Instead, the people are pitted against each other with great success. The “housecleaning” they demand will get done — and millions of their fellow Americans which they have been taught to hate (liberals, atheist, anti-gunners, blacks, immigrants) will be dead. So will the entire “patriot” community. Wiped out, completely.
I will not fight for any of them.

None of them deserve it. I have no allegiance to any of them, rejecting their politics, religion, ethics and greed as the hypocrisy that they are.
Nor will I fight for the “Constitution”. I did not sign it. I am not bound by it, nobody is. I have no allegiance to any of it.

The truth is, the Constitution hasn’t been in effect since the death of the last signer anyway, over 200 years ago. The pretence that we have a “Constitutional government” is about over. We don’t and never will. Wake the fuck up.
My rights are not “God given”, but natural rights inherited by all humans that supersede any document. They are not bestowed by “government” or any make-believe entity. The job of government is to protect my rights. When that fails as it often does, then I must protect them myself.
So I want nothing to do with this “uprising”. That is not the America that I want. The America that I want respects life, restores life. Not just “human life”, but all the life of the planet we all live on.

Conservatives believe that we should go on raping the planet in a gluttonous orgy of plunderous abandon. If they have their way, nothing would be preserved for the future. We’d all be drinking poisonous water and breathing toxic air. Their ignorance about how we all exist and what it takes for us all to stay alive on this planet is very obvious. Caring nothing for the future generations to come, conservatives have laid vast swaths of endless destruction and suffering behind them now for generations. They’re very adept at genocide, but very bad at preservation. They need to be stopped dead in their tracks.
Capitalism is their real god. Forget Jesus Christ, these people worship wealth, power and property only. Production and plunder is “progress”. They’re too stupid to realize that their version of progress has now enslaved most of the world under their dystopian views, all who must now “buy” their way towards their daily existence. If you can’t pay, you die.
Somehow, they still stupidly perceive this as “better” than free land, free food, free housing and no government (and no jails). They insist that their way is the “Only True Way”, a Manifest Destiny of self-righteousness all over again, blind to the trail of bodies and pain this continues to cause on a global scale.
Their Christianity is completely faked, conveniently warped and twisted to embrace “prosperity” and their presumed “pre-eminence” in the world. Jesus himself would spew them from his mouth as the vile sepulchers that they are. None will enter into heaven.
I want nothing to do with the America desired by conservatives or phony Christians. They hate life. They hate human progress. They stupidly believe that “guns” make them free while giving the nation Ronald Reagan, Bush I and II, Iraq, Afghanistan, even Vietnam and endless body bags. The rivers of blood these morons swim in is appalling to any thinking human being.
They stupidly raged at manufactured enemies on 9/11, parroting media lies of a foreign “terrorist threat”. They went on to embrace the gutting of America under Patriot Act I and II, and most recently, the National Defense Authorization Act. They gaped blindly at the groping of their wives and daughters by paedophile employees of the TSA and did nothing. They embrace ignorance, deny science, wearing thick blinders to truth, stumbling in the ditch, while continuing to slaughter millions worldwide with their endless greed and avarice.
The entire country reels under their misguided “vision” for the nation and even the world. The global hatred of Americans is spawned by their incredible arrogance and stupidity to other cultures, nations and endless avarice. Their vocabulary extends to a guttural “oorah” by heavily armed brain-dead zombies, expelled while murdering “rag heads” and “haji” whose only crime was defending their land against foreign terrorists. It’s really, really clear now who the real terrorists in the world actually are.
This is the coming “salvation” of America being embraced by “patriots”? I think not. I think they are the curse of America. We’re saddled with these ignorant fools like ticks on a dog, sucking out the life blood of the nation.
The America they envision “restored” is factually impossible. It will never, ever happen. We do not live in 1776 and never, ever will again. We do not have the same population, or the same infrastructure or dependencies, or even the same independence. We destroyed most of what we once had. What white America ruthlessly and viciously stole from the Native Americans will NEVER be coming back. Overlooking all the environmental destruction and depletion we’ve ALL caused is utterly inexcusable now.
We’re all now highly dependent upon everything working as expected. Stop the trucks and we ALL starve. Start a war and we ALL suffer.

Is that what we really want?
This is not to say that we do not need to stop this dictatorial government, we do. We must stop it dead in its tracks. The government needs to fear the people again. All governmental power should come from the people. We will either live as a free people, or we will continue to be the slaves of this government.

If you do not already know what you are right now, then read that again.
War will not be the answer, because there will be no guarantee of victory or of leadership. It is always the people that fight the wars, and it always the people that suffer greatly because of it. The power that orchestrates the wars is not even harmed. It remains firmly in place as always, taking over and dividing up the spoils at the end. Those who are advocating for war are ignorant of this fact. They have read and understood nothing. They can only see their own blood lust and anger. This is not a replacement for wisdom, or the solution for the future.
Mass disobedience will be better than war. This is how revolutions are actually won: non-compliance. All-encompassing non-compliance and refusal to cooperate at any level any further. The Federal government has no right to dictate to the State (or to individuals) and never has.

Stop complying.
Be prepared to defend yourselves, be prepared to rescue your neighbor if attacked; they will be.

This is what your guns are for. Mutual defense. The 2nd Amendment says nothing about “hunting”, but it says plenty about defending oneself and a free State being necessary.

A free State means a free people:

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

If you want to be free, or even have a shred of freedom left, do not give up any of your guns. Not a single one.

Keep your high-capacity magazines; you’re going to need them.
Don’t fall for the media lies. Reject the vile ignorance being shouted by ignorant politicians. Be prepared to endure draconian crackdowns by a fascist government. Stop them dead in their tracks with your bullets if necessary. But do not start a war that you are not prepared or equipped to finish.
And do not think for one moment that your “vision” for America is anything anybody else is going to want or tolerate.

That is not what we are. It is not what we have EVER been.

If you cannot leave room in America for the human progress we have made, human progress that has taken us from superstitious ignorance to awareness, then we don’t want it, and we won’t let you have it either.

This post reminds me of lyrics from a song called “Damn It, Rose,” sung by Don Henley. He’s addressing a friend who committed suicide.

    I quote:

You could have given us the finger
    Much more constructively than that
Now I sit here with the MTV
    And your bloated, Burmese cat
We’re being treated to the wisdom
Of some puffed up little fart
Doing exactly what I used to do —
    Pretentions to anarchy and art
He speaks the language of a warrior
    He mounts his misinformed attack
He wears the clothes of a dissenter
But there’s a logo on his back
    And it’s a hollow rebellion
    As rebellions mostly are
It’s just another raging tempest in a jar.

This article is so over the place with so much going on I have no idea what your point is. Maybe because I’m not from the US. So your government wants to do what with it’s citizens? What are you trying to say?

    • January 21, 2013 at 6:35 am #

It’s not because you’re not from the U.S. It’s because it’s a poorly written mess.

You apparently lack reading skills and the ability to string more then one sentence together. I understood it perfectly. It’s a fine article, cuts right to the point of why fighting alongside the conservative / religious right would be a terrifying mistake.

        • February 8, 2013 at 6:21 am #

The author is confused and thus confusing, and you have just found enough of the right talking points and buzzwords in his writing to endear him to you.

Does he (assumed for convenience) want states’ rights or big government?

Is the Constitution irrelevant, or is it worth quoting as the legal basis for our natural rights? On what basis does the central government have no right to dictate to states or individuals?

What is the greater sign of human progress, and what does the author respect more — the natural right to life, or the legal right to an abortion?

If not given by God, from what or whom are natural human rights “inherited?”

If he recommends high capacity magazines, does he own any, or plan on it? If not, why does he recommend them?

If so, what will he do with his arms if the government comes knocking on his door for them? Will he give them up peacefully? If he doesn’t comply, will he use his weapons to defend himself? If he won’t, then why have them?

If he will, then how is that not fighting? If it is fighting, how will he be different from everyone else around him defending their natural rights against a hostile government? And if that’s not a civil war, what is it, and how is he not then a part of it?

In this case then, might his non-compliance actually fuel the war he says he will not fight? What if the non-compliance he recommends and the war he won’t fight turn out to be merely different points on the same continuum?

The writer confuses classical liberalism with modern progressive ideology, as if they both have the same beginning and end, when they in fact are nearly opposites. This belies his own subjection to media (and government) lies. His ignorance and/or blindness grossly mischaracterizes the vast majority of those those who identify themselves today as patriots, Christians, and conservatives, as nothing but racists, plunderers, and perpetrators of genocide. His assumption that these ideological labels have meant the same thing over the centuries is sorely mistaken. In fact, today’s conservative, ideologically, was yesterday’s liberal in many ways.

I could go on and on. The post above is a poorly written jumble of thoughts at best. What comes out is, “Everybody else is stupid but me. I basically agree with them and hate all of them at the same time, and I’m not going to join them fighting for their rights as I fight in their midst for mine.”

The battle lines, by the way, are not being drawn between Americans and the government. They are being drawn between Americans and Americans, some of whom are succeeding more than others at getting the government to do their dirty work for them, until the monster they created kills them as well.

          +++++++++++++++++++++++++

I’ve written for four newspapers; had my work archived at the Albert Gore, Sr. Archive Center as an example of how to use the Center’s resources effectively for research; had my writing praised and recommended by current UNC-Chapel Hill Journalism professor and 1998 winner of the National Geographic Magazine Faculty Fellowship, Jock Lauterer; and am sought out occasionally to ghostwrite for an elected official.

If it’s all the same to you, regarding my reading and writing skills, I’ll take their word any day over that of a 1960’s cartoon character who still confuses “then” and “than,” and has yet to master the fine art of compound predicates.

Stupid straw arguments do not make you appear more intelligent, just a self-important idiot.

You also assume that there must be a ‘prescription’ that fits you limited worldview.

Then you summarize by listing your achievements, as if this is important for the rest of us to realize (it is not). This makes you a grandstanding fool as far as I am concerned, more interested in self promotion then learning anything.

            • February 20, 2013 at 1:53 pm #

Thank you, Mr. Jetson. You have confirmed for everyone reading your second comment what they suspected of you in the first.

Feel free to identify any “straw arguments” you see above and please deconstruct them for all the world to see. I’m waiting.

And if I’m here just to promote myself, what are you doing here, fundraising for UNICEF?

Jason has issues because he has been turned down by so many woman in his life. He goes after the beautiful hot, sexy ones that do not find him attractive. It’s his insecurities and his bitterness is why he disrespects and makes fun, but deep inside he’s hurting. He’s not an attractive man, his front teeth are missing, he’s bald and a very tiny man (size). I feel sorry for him, he’s been laughed at and dis his entire life. Making fun of other people doesn’t take the heat off of you, it brings it to you.

Debbie you’ve posted this comment on the wrong article – this piece isn’t by Jason.

There are lots of references to others and what we should do. And i’ve never read so many references to ‘they’ in something that’s not a nineth grade school essay. But not enough of what you going to do. Because you kinda come across as apathetic – leaving others to solve the things that enrage you.

Ummmm, I consider myself conservative but I don’t meet the criteria according to you. Find some direction in your rant and construct a viable argument of it and maybe we can talk.

Wow, what a clueless rambling collection of worthless prose. You know what I discerned from it? You’re another progressive, trying to appear “reasonable”, so as to fool others into believing you’re not. You’re also a coward.

It was a rant but if you try to make sence of it it dose prove a point. We as Americans know something is not right and we are not heading down the right path as a country. We also have no clue as a majority nwhat to realy do about it. This also in my opinion why the progressives need to move faster then most of us want to admit, as long as we cant show a unified front they will continue to move the counrty in the wrong direction.

Wow what an ignorant brain-dead, anti military, hate filled liberal piece of crap article. Now I’m atheist, but I am still right leaning and this guy insults everything I fought for while I was in the military. I am not a planet raping toothless redneck retard like this dumbass says. truth be told its liberal policies that are wrecking this nation and unless all liberals are living in caves walking everywhere you asshats are part of the “problem.”
