South Africa families plead with Somali pirates

You don’t hear of pirates often, and those we have are no more the Johnny Depp-esque figures with swashbuckling tendencies, but surely in this day and age there are organisations or artillery able to be dispatched by a western country to nip this in the bud without causing international incident? After all, it would be in more national interest than just that of South Africa.
